Mumbai is a city that never sleeps. The capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai, is a global city owing to its contribution to the world economy. Being a major metropolitan, it is also a centre of finance and communications. Mumbai is also known as the financial capital of India.

The city's transport system is the lifeline of the city. Besides the local trains that cover the length and breadth of the city, the B.E.S.T buses facilitate transportation for travel within the city's limits. Auto rickshaws, taxis, and even private cabs make traveling in the city easy and convenient. Moreover, the city has both domestic and international airports, which welcome travellers and tourists from everywhere. No matter where you land, the well-maintained roads, flyovers, bridges, Express Highways, and the Sea link provide easy access to different parts of the city. The subways and the recently developed Skywalks provide the pedestrians space to walk and cross roads without having to face traffic.
